Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban Whisky, 70cl

Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban is the port finished offering from the esteemed distillery. To create its distinctive flavour specially selected port pipes from the Portuguese Douro valley are used. The nose is rich in winter fragrances, fresh berries and the warmth of a good port. Strong oak and chewy cereal notes also come through leading to a sweet, thick mouthfeel and a palate full of bright port notes, barley sugar and juicy fresh fruit. It is one of the sweeter offerings on the market but there are noticeable hits of spice.

Santa Teresa 1796 Rum, 70cl

Santa Teresa 1796 was released in 1996 and has had huge success and enjoyment since this date, commemorating the 200th anniversary of Santa Teresa’s foundation. With bronze amber hues and an aroma rich in honey, sherry and bitter brazil nuts, Santa Teresa is dry on the palate and wonderfully mellow. Chocolate and vanilla notes are released as you enjoy each sip and it ends on a satisfying and rounded buttery note.

Hakushu Distillers Reserve Whisky, 70cl

A green and crunchy entry in the hakushu range, combining whisky of a wide variety of ages, from across the range of casks used by the distillery to create a gently smoky dram, packed with fruity flavour.

Glenmorangie Lasanta Whisky, 70cl

Finished in oloroso sherry casks, Glenmorangie Lasanta is a warm, toasty single malt that takes its name from the Scottish Gaelic for warmth and passion. The nose is creamily sweet, with caramel, chocolate-covered fruit and sweet spices blended perfectly. The mouthfeel is voluptuously thick, honeyed raisins, beeswax, vanilla ice cream and oaky dryness melt together in perfect harmony. A little spice and bitter cacao bring this dram to an excellent close.

El Dorado 15yr Rum, 70cl

As the flavour builds you’ll enjoy notes of citrus and smooth honey, leading to a sweet and short aftertaste of honeyed vanilla and citrus zest.

Talisker Port Ruighe Whisky, 70cl

Flavours of the middle east are rich in this offering. Talisker’s port ruighe is wonderfully fruity and rich in notes of turkish delight. The nose is heavily doused in rose water, saLtred caramel and dried fruit. This leads into a beautifully decadent and aromatic flavour, turkish delight on the palate and a burnt toffee end note which adds smoky depth to a very sweet and florid offering. A fine port-finished whisky with fine exotic notes.

Auchentoshan 3 Wood Whisky, 70cl

Auchentoshan three wood is lowland single malt that spends time matured in three different casks. Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, oloroso casks and bourbon casks have the pleasure of playing a role in the maturation of this exceptional malt. The nose is rich with cooked fruit, toffee and sherry with a rum-like quality. The palate is rich, thick like a liqueur and balanced with notes of cherries and chocolate, like sumptuous black forest gateaux.

The Dalmore 12yr Whisky, 70cl

First launched in 2008, the Dalmore 12-year-old is a single malt rich in coffee and toasty warm notes. Spicy and thick in the mouth, it’s a very rich malt which stands out amongst its peers. Evoking the relaxed nature of a western American coffee house, the nose of this malt is rich in roasting coffee beans, nuttiness and sweet malt. The palate is different, rich in Seville marmalade, wintry spice and cocoa drawing into a medium finish that ensures you go back for another sip.

Wild Turkey Rare Breed Whisky, 70cl

Wild turkey rare breed is an exceptionally enjoyable, stand-out bourbon which brings together a range of flavours. Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros Rum, 70cl

Havana club selección de maestros is a uniquely created triple barrel-aged rum which has a distinctive red glow. Toasted pecans and deep spices fill the nose and this woody character continues in the mouthfeel. Round and buoyant the palate is tantalised and teased by the zesty candied sweetness this rum offers yet tempered by warming toffee, tobacco and mild brown spices. A balanced flavour which allows the intensity of oak to help build its unique profile.

Jose Cuervo Reserva Familia Blanco Tequila, 70cl

One of the newer offerings from the famous Jose Cuervo range, Jose Cuervo Reserva da le Familia Blanco is an exceptional new silver tequila. Limited edition, hand-signed, hand-dipped and corked, each bottle of Reserva Blanco is highly sought after and it’s easy to see why. The strength of quality agave comes through in the nose, closely followed by charred vegetables and hints at linseed oil. The flavour keeps the vegetable notes alive but teams them with fresh pear and of course the sweetness of agave. Pepper only comes through towards the end but it strong and satisfying.

Oban 14yr Whisky, 70CL

A west highland malt of real esteem, this 14-year-old Oban is traditional in its flavour but this isn’t something to overlook. Rich and smoky on the nose, this Oban has a medicinal flavour about it, with notes of the sea, coast and seaweed all coming through together. Smooth sweetness is offered up by citrus-infused vanilla but it’s the medicinal notes which truly make this a memorable dram.

Herradura Anejo Tequila, 70cl

This 100% agave Herradura Anejo is one of the first and most popular Anejo tequilas that Mexico has to offer. 24-25 months of ageing ensure the depth of colour and adds a hint of oak to the flavour. The nose is typical of quality tequila, rich in stewed vegetables, leather and vanilla. The spice comes through in the flavour which is wonderfully balanced, allowing the vanilla and oak to marry with cinnamon spice and light notes of black pepper.

La Fee Absinthe Parisienne, 70cl

The drink which sparked a new revolution, la fee absinthe Parisienne was one of the first absinthes newly licensed when the drink was once again made legal. Distilled in Paris utilising a 19th-century recipe, la fee Parisienne is exclusively authenticated by Marie-Claude Delahaye, founder and curator of the absinthe museum. With classic green hues and the flavours of traditional wormwood, fennel anise and hyssop it has both a herbal aroma and sharp aniseed flavour.

DuPont VSOP Brandy, 70cl

Patron Silver Tequila, 70cl

Young and sprightly, Patron Silver is the youngest of their tequilas and its flavour reflects its youth. Clear in colour and rich with fruity aromas, particularly citrus, Patron Silver is refreshing and has a smooth sweetness about it. Soft and light the flavour is peppered with hints of citrus with natural agave taking centre stage. Light peppery notes hit on the finish adding some welcome bite to the endnote.

Sazerac Rye, 75cl

Sazerac straight rye whisky takes its name from the New Orleans coffee house which was known as the home of the sazerac cocktail. Without this exceptional whisky, the cocktail would be nowhere near as great. Aromas of vanilla, anise, pepper and clove are released but the flavour is subtler, with candied spice and sweet citrus taking over.

Laphroaig Quarter Cask Whisky, 70cl

Laphroaig quarter cask was released in 2004 to much esteem. Youthful compared to other offerings it’s a highly commendable malt which still has a bold, enticing flavour despite its young age. Oily and butter-rich on the nose, toffee, nuts and hickory smoke come through measuredly. The palate gives a bold hit of sweetness with fiery chilli heat coming through quickly in pursuit, medicinal freshness, chewy cereals and even a hint of cola also follow.

Glenfiddich 15yr Whisky, 70cl

Matured in American Bourbon, Portuguese sherry and virgin oak casks, this Glenfiddich offering is a fine and enjoyable choice. 15 years spent ageing makes this a staple of the distillery and one which every drinks cabinet should be home to. The nose is rich with sherry, bright citrus notes and dried oak. Its flavour enhances these notes with raisins and sherry, evoking Christmas cake, complete with light spicing. Oak lingers and takes centre stage as the endnote fades.

Bunnahabhain 12yr Whisky, 70cl

This entry-level Bunnahabhain single malt is a lightly peated offering from islay and is aged for 12 years. Enjoy a light, fresh dram with a higher than average proof and a complex yet enjoyable flavour profile. The nose is rich in salty seaweed, warm malts and sweetness. This inviting aroma leads into a flavour which offers up notes of sherry, nuts, malt and juicy sultana. It’s wonderfully warming and sharply spiced without being overwhelming and it’s one you’ll find yourself reaching for time and again.

Craigellachie 13yr Whisky, 70cl

A range of Craigellachie single malts was released for the first time in 2014. The distillery is known for its meaty character, and the 13-year-old is sweet, spicy and slightly smoky.

San Cosme Mezcal Tequila, 70cl

San Cosme Mezcal is a stylish example of a traditional mezcal which has an extremely rich flavour, due to its non-chill filtration process. Its aroma lets you deep and earthy with a dry woody character and sweet roast agave notes. On first sip you’ll enjoy a viscous mouthfeel, the flavours coating it entirely and a burst of fruity freshness followed by a creamy caramel-like depth. A hint of spice supports those warm agave notes and there is a final smoky note which lingers pleasantly.

Ardbeg 10yr Whisky, 70cl

Ardbeg is another Scottish single malt of much worth. Straight from cask to bottle, Ardbeg offers a unique flavour which is different from others from regions. Tree bark, peat and vanilla fudge aromas are first to escape and on tasting a burst of smokiness, sea salt and sweet aniseed vanilla hit the palate. Honeyed notes help to mellow it out but it’s the smoky peat flavour which lingers on.

Hine Rare VSOP Brandy, 70cl

With honey sweetness in abundance Hine rare VSOP is a refined blend of Eaux de vie which balances selections from both the grande and petite champaign regions. the youngest Eau de vie in the blend is six years old, though they can be up to twelve and this maturation ensures the smooth, deep flavour connoisseurs lust after. Floral hints of jasmine support the warm honey and a final note of vanilla provide a rounded ending.

Death Door Gin, 70cl

Death's door gin has a surprisingly simple botanical mix of organic juniper berries, coriander and fennel.

Sipsmith VJOP, 70cl

The clue’s in the name – very junipery over proof, sipsmith’s have created a juniper lover’s dream. firmly in the driving seat of this aromatic gin is juniper, its pine-driven aroma released on opening and mingling with cedar wood. the taste too is very heavy on the juniper with rich spices supporting and even notes of dark chocolate. the heavy juniper flavour tapers off to a fine balance in the end which is long, dry and uLtrimately satisfying.

Jack Daniel's Whisky, 1.5ltr

Martell VSOP Brandy, 70cl

Smooth and organic with a whole range of aromas to enjoy, Martell VSOP is one of the classic cognacs that works wonderfully with tonic, ginger or even as an aperitif. Martell VSOP is hearty golden amber and has a bittersweet softness in its aroma, with both lime and liquorice coming through. Talisker Storm Malt Whisky, 70cl

Stormy by name, stormy by nature Talisker storm is a youthful whisky which has the characteristics of the Talisker distillery as well as smoky notes and an interestingly complex flavour profile. An initially briny nose leads into a banana, citrus and white pepper notes. This multi-faceted nose leads into a similar palate, with additional wood smoke and biting chilli heat. It ends on a dry note, satisfying and welcome.

Junipero Gin, 70cl

Juniper by name and packing a punch by nature, junipero knows exactly where it sits in the gin market, firmly at the heart of small batch distillation. made using tiny copper pot stills, junipero is distilled using more than twelve different botanicals. juniper of course is heavy and pungent throughout as you sip and the high alcohol level allows for intensity in each of the flavours. juniper is backed up by traditional coriander and liquorice with sweet ruby grapefruit notes providing a welcome sweetness.

Jameson Redbreast Whiskey, 70cl

Jameson Redbreast whisky is rarer than your average Irish offering and has some truly memorable keynotes. Pouring your first dram will be a pleasure as aromas of freshly cut grass, malt and lemon citrus come through. On drinking, you’ll enjoy a flavour rich in ginger with thick honey, hot cinnamon and even notes of sherry on the palate. Balvenie malt 12yr Doublewood Whisky, 70cl

The clue’s in the name with this one, Balvenie Doublewood single malt gets its name from the interesting distillation process, involving distillation in two kinds of wood. The maturation process involves moving the whisky from a traditional oak whisky cask to a Spanish oak sherry cask, adding more depth to its flavour and creating its warm, rounded character. Sweet fruit and sherry notes are apparent in its scent and the taste is mellow for a single malt, the sherry at work once more, with nuttiness and cinnamon notes building too.

Ritten House 50 (BIB), 75cl

Rittenhouse rye whisky 100 proof is a hot and spicy offering which spends six years maturing before bottling. vibrant cinnamon, black pepper and spicy rye are all prevalent in the nose and they lead into a medium body in which the higher proof is immediately apparent on the tongue. Rich notes of tobacco, cinnamon, clove and brown sugar blend together to create a highly spiced offering with just a touch of sweetness. Sip it slowly.

Gran Centenario Anejo Tequila, 70cl

Gran Centenario Anejo spends 18 months maturing in American oak barrels and despite a light flavour, you’ll definitely be able to pick out those toasty wood notes. wonderfully enjoyed over ice or as a shooter, Gran Centenario Anejo allows the taste of cooked agave to take centre stage. An earthy depth and cinnamon spice add to the character of this tequila and the flavour builds to a hot, spicy end which is intensely satisfying.

Herradura Reposadon Tequila, 70cl

Herradura reposado was launched in 1974 and the recipe has stayed the same ever since. One of the world’s first commercial reposado tequilas, the flavour benefits from 11 months ageing in oak casks. The aroma has an enticing note of cider, sweet apples, vanilla and cinnamon. This heady concoction is built upon as you sip with full bodied caramel, chocolate, nutty almonds and black pepper coming through. It’s the nutty notes that linger until the end.

No, there hasn’t been an accident it’s supposed to look like that! the distinctive asymmetrical bottle that r.l. seale’s finest rum is delivered in is just one of its many great perks. Matured in ex-madeira and ex-brandy cases this rum is awash with welcomingly sweet flavours as well as spiced notes. Spicy cooking apples are surrounded by notes of freshly baked pastry, cinnamon and nutmeg leading into a long and satisfying end of toffee apple and oak.

Crystal Head Vodka, 70cl

Ghostbusters aside, this is a serious spirit! Super clean vanilla notes with a touch of lemon and a smooth pepper and lemon rind finish this is best straight from the fridge but comes up well at room temperature too.

Johnnie Walker Gold Reserve Whisky, 70cl

Johnnie walker gold-blend reserve is one premium whisky that all connoisseurs are rushing to try. Constructed around the flavours of single malt from clynelish, the flavours have been nurtured and brought into their own with great care. 1800 Anejo Tequila, 70cl

Jose Cuervo Anejo 1800 is an exceptional offering for one of our favourite tequila distilleries. Aged for over a year and selective french oak casks, each bottle of this tequila has been prepared to perfection. The aroma is rich in roasted coconut, toffee and woody floral depth. This leads into a flavour which is equally woody, with the spice coming through in the form of cracked black pepper. The endnote is dry yet immensely satisfying, wonderful for sipping at leisure.

Pernod Absinthe, 70cl

The original absinthe, Henri Louis Pernod founded the world’s first absinthe distillery and their modern product still uses many of the methods and ingredients of their original blend. Deceptively milder than its high proof alcohol content, Pernod absinthe is understated and smooth to drink with the notes of aniseed and wormwood present but not overwhelming. Light green in colour has natural herbal aromas and a distinctive touch of lemon, best enjoyed with water and sugar.

Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva Rum, 70cl

An 80:20 blend of pot still to column still rums are used to deliver the quality taste of Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva. Aged for up to 12 years this exclusive rum is a heady concoction with sandalwood and fresh leather aromas that lead to a deep and bitter flavour. The bitterness comes through in deep coffee notes but they are matched by sweet honey and plum flavours which add a lightness to this intense rum.

Old J Tiki Fire Rum, 70cl

The high proof release of Admiral Vernon's old j spiced rum but keeping the same recipe of lime, sugar and spices. A welcome return to how spiced rum used to be.

Don Julio Anejo Tequila, 70cl

Don Julio Anejo is another exceptional offering from the recognisable tequila distillery. This product spends up to 2 years in former bourbon casks, giving it a deep golden appearance. The flavour is rich with zest, both grapefruit and lime coming through strongly in the nose with lighter hints of marzipan and tea. The flavour is candy sweet with a honey-like viscosity and a reappearance of those tea flavours, now paired with that classic tequila flavour of charred vegetables. Tannins with a tea-like edge end the drink in memorable style.

Bowmore 12yr Whisky, 70cl

At the heart of the Bowmore range, this 12-year-old offering doesn’t disappoint with a mixture of coastal notes and earthy, gentle peat. On the nose, you’ll enjoy wonderful bright floral notes, with smoky heather and heady hits of peat. The palate is more rounded, smooth and mellow rich if floral perfumed smoke, dark peat and a touch of lemon and sea spray. Evokes coastal strolls and waves crashing against the shore.
