About the brand

In 1805, Henri-Louis Pernod founded Pernod Fils, France's first absinthe distillery. After 200 years, Pernod continues to distill absinthe the traditional way, remaining faithful to its 19th century roots. The absinthe plants are still harvested locally in Pontarlier, and then distilled in wine alcohol in the village of Thuir. And so Pernod has kept its traditions alive since 1805.
