Ruby red hue with bright tints. On the nose, the wine releases pronounced aromas of crunchy red fruit. Powerful yet supple on the palate with smooth, coated tannins. The fruit is perfectly balanced with the oak, adding fine aromatic complexity.
Gentle extraction keeps the fruit from being jammy, leaving clean blackcurrant and soft cinnamon notes and softer tannins. Aged in American oak for approximately 8 months, giving the wine a gentle toasted vanilla note throughout.
A red dry wine from a local grape variety called Maratheftiko. An ancient old, Cyprus, indigenous grape variety cultivated on the island for thousands of years which KEO rediscovered. This is a deep red wine with a rich bouquet of forest fruits and a hint of the oak barrel on the nose.
