About this product

In the 16th century, became seafarers enchanted with this tropical fruit, the coconut, and were transfixed by the three eyes peering out of its hairy bark, an eerie reminder of the old tales. As a fearsome but probably non-existent creature, it has been characterized as the equivalent of the boogeyman. And so, the legend was born: a half-man, half-coconut who peppered our rum tales... We were set to make 100% natural coconut rum, sourcing our fruits from local farmers. Four years of experiments later, we found the perfect formula, the exquisite marriage of two icons of Caribbean culture: rum and coconuts. Coconuts, picked fully ripe, are Cut into small chunks and left to Dry gently to preserve the most concentrated flavours, then infused in our Barbados rum. Now you know why we call it Cut & Dry. For as long as Barbadians can remember, locals have been cutting open coconuts and selling their refreshing water, with mountains of husks piled up alongside the roads. We thought coconuts would offer a delicious touch to our artisanal rum from Stade's West Indies Rum Distillery, located on the west coast of Barbados, just a few steps away from the sea
