Made with Bavarian lager yeast, perle and hallertau tradition hops and a house pilsner malt from Bamberg. (Camden are one of the only teo breweries outside Germany to use it) Hells lager spends 4 weeks in the tank. This is the proper length of time for lagering, the right amount of time for our Hells to aquire great depth of flavour.
This 4.8% abv pale lager is well balanced between citrus, bitter tones and floral, fruity undertones giving a consistent and refined flavour. it has a complicated malty, hoppy taste with an exceptional head retention due to the quality of our ingredients and maturation process.
All about restraint and elegance, with notes of herb, citrus and the sea, allied to fresh red fruit. Understated and very easy to drink. Deeply-coloured with young highlights. Nose of red and black fruits underscored by a fairly classic oak touch. Mellowness, balance and aromatic expression stand out on the palate. Harmonious and quite persistent throughout.
